2008 has seen us begin to move from nationwide storage and distribution towards bringing everything in house. This allows us to maximize the stock range on site in Staffordshire and also to allow us to better monitor our distribution.

This has meant the need for a very large area of warehousing as our current location would not be sufficient to hold all of the stock we currently hold in storage let alone any expansion.

Therefore we hope to be in new premises by Feb. 2009 in order to set up and be ready for the busy year ahead.

 

It is now February 2009 and Proforme will begin trading from new premises from the 05th of the month.

2010 - Proforme is expanding its range of stock further and expanding storage facilities. We have new team members started this year, hopefully adding to the smooth running of the day to day business.

We will be expanding our delivery areas this year to include Australia and the USA, with the help of new Couriers and transport companies. We will ensure to maintain the same high standards we have delivered in the past.

 

2011 - This is looking like being an exciting year for Proforme, with staff increased through the recession and not diminished, and stock levels now covering mostly everything we need to service all customers on a drop in basis means we are getting busier all the time.

 

We have newer and more up to date website's ready for this year, and are looking at providing more online instruction in the form of PDF downloads and video instruction for all of our products.

 

We are also concentrating more on delivering quality information about our products, and how to use them more efficiently in this coming year.

 

Considerable time and effort was employed last year in making Proforme UK limited's presence on the internet more visible, this will continue this year with more optimisation of our website's to make them more search engine friendly and help customers to find us easier when they need us.

 

2012 - Proforme have acquired new larger premises this year, located around a mile and half from our old premises at ROBIAN WAY. The new premises have much larger offices, which will make life more comfortable for our staff, who have at present been managing in rather confined office space. This should also make order processing and customer care much easier and therefore better for you the customer.

 

The warehousing space has also been significantly increased, meaning we will be able to hold much more stock than before, therefore meaning we will again be better able to service our customers in the way we would like to.

 

The move to the new unit should be happening around the end of FEB 2012, and we hope to be in and settled by the end of MARCH.

 

Any of you who wish to drop in and say hello, are more than welcome, the new unit address is UNIT 5, Appleby Glade Ind Est, Swadlincote, Derbyshire, DE11 9EU. (EU being ironic, as we are starting to move more and more into Europe every month at the moment).

 

Proforme Marquees are expecting new stock this year on marquee sizes, 6m x 16m, 6m x 18m and 6m x 20m to add to our already extensive range. These marquees will be in 500gsm and suitable for hire and commercial use, this allows us to provide single structure covers for events seating well over the 100 people limit most people have been restricted to for some time now.

 

Proforme are also looking into importing a new range of gate automation from Italy this year, this automation will be all manufactured in Europe and all of the highest quality, which is getting harder and harder to find these days with all manufacturers sending production to China and sacrificing quality for a small saving in cost.
